Last-Minute Abstract Submission is closed

Last-minute abstract submission will provide presenters with an opportunity to communicate the most recent clinical and scientific breakthroughs to participants of the ESMRMB 2019 congress in Rotterdam/NL.

Please note that last-minute abstract submission is not intended as an extension of the regular abstract submission which ended on April 18, 2019.

Last-minute abstract submission will focus on capturing abstracts that highlight new and unique studies, and that contain either results that were not yet known, or fully available at the time of the regular abstract submission deadline and therefore would not otherwise have been presented at the congress. In the program one slot has been left open in each oral session, this will either be filled with a suitable late-breaking abstract or with an invited introduction to the session. Poster-slots are available ‘ad libitum’.

The data in the abstract must not have been published (manuscript or abstract) prior to the congress.

Examples of suitable late-breaking abstracts might include:

  • New experimental results/sequence design
  • New analysis of existing data resulting in new insights
  • Abstract of a manuscript just put on ArXiv
  • The outcome of a new clinical trial
  • Etc

Notification regarding the last-minute abstracts’ status will be sent to the submitting author of the abstract by late July 2019.

Last-minute abstracts will not be published in the ESMRMB Book of Abstracts.

Please note that the deadline will be strictly applied!

All abstracts have to be submitted electronically via our online abstract submission system. Please observe the deadline to ensure the evaluation of your submission.

Note that submission with the preferred presentation format ‘Poster only’ will also qualify for the ‘Lightning Talk’ sessions, where you will be required to give a short (2 minutes) teaser talk of your poster presented at the meeting.

Authors of scientific papers that are accepted as a traditional poster are required to print and bring their own paper poster (format 90×130 cm, PORTRAIT) to the dedicated poster area on-site. For authors of scientific papers that are accpeted as an electronic poster it is mandatory to upload their electronic poster to the ESMRMB ePoster database prior to the congress (July-August 2019, exact dates tba at a later date).
