The MedICSS is an annual summer school, running since 2015, organised by the Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC) and Wellcome-EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) at University College London (UCL).

MedICSS is a summer school in the field of medical image computing and computer assisted medical interventions. The aim of the school is to allow early-career scientists and students to learn about the newest developments in medical image computing through a series of lectures from world-leading expert speakers and hands-on computational projects.

High quality lectures will cover recent developments across medical image computing and computer assisted interventions research, including technical developments, clinical translation, and industrial applications. Group projects will give delegates hands-on experience using computational imaging techniques and encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and scientific discovery. Lectures and projects will cover topics such as microstructural modelling using diffusion MRI and deep learning in medical image analysis.

MedICSS will run in person from 3rd-7th July 2023. It will take on the main location of the UCL Centre for Medical Image Computing, 90 High Holborn, in Central London. An online package option will be available for access to the recorded lectures only (for a time-limit).
