Event Details
Radiology has always been a rapidly evolving specialty, closely linked to technical innovations but also actively contributing to a better understanding of pathophysiological processes in a wide variety of diseases. This is actually especially true in the field of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, where new techniques including e.g. parametric MR mapping for tissue characterisation, non-invasive CT-based fraction flow reserve calculations, and evolving insights in the evaluation and treatment of valvular heart disease with CT/MR are leading to improved diagnostic possibilities and better patient care. The current annual meeting will provide plenty of opportunities to learn the latest insights into cutting-edge clinical imaging applications, not only through lectures by respected speakers, but also through a variety of dedicated workshops including contemporary topics like pre-procedural TAVI planning. Finally, the rise of artificial intelligence and big data is undeniable, with a growing impact on the workflow and position of the radiologist. Dedicated sessions will provide the necessary insights relevant to clinical practice.
