Event Details
Dear all,
Imaging bridges a crucial gap in space and time in life science and medicine. New insights are obtained from imaging. These findings should be integrated with data science into a coherent picture of tissues, organs and organisms for early interception of disease. These fundamental developments call for hitherto unavailable research frameworks, international partnership and collaborative culture to promote strong ties across multiple research domains and imaging modalities.
The field of Magnetic Resonance (MR) has evolved rapidly over the past quarter of a century, allowing for an ever growing number of applications across a broad spectrum of basic, translational and clinical research. One important development which is in the spotlight of MR research is Ultrahigh Field Magnetic Resonance (UHF-MR). The pace of discovery is heartening and a powerful motivator to transfer the lessons learned at ultrahigh fields from basic research into the clinical scenario. These efforts are fueled by the unmet clinical needs and the quest for advancing the capabilities of diagnostic MR imaging – today.
The Event
Realizing these opportunities, we are very much delighted to present the 15th Scientific Symposium on Clinical Needs, Research Promises and Technical Solutions in Ultrahigh Field Magnetic Resonance, which will be held at the Max-Delbrueck-Center for Molecular Medicine on Friday, September 13th 2024 in Berlin, Germany. Please save the date. The symposium is designed to provide an overview of state-of-the-art (pre)clinical UHF-MR and its connection with data science, to discuss the clinical relevance of UHF-MR, to explore future directions of UHF-MR, to foster explorations into ultrahigh field-MR and to initiate local, regional, national and international collaboration and last but not least to provide plenty of time to engage into fruitful exchange and conversations with your customers. For this purpose the symposium is paralleled by a Technical Exhibition with the symposiums agenda running almost 3 hours of breaks and ample time for interaction with your customers. The symposium is tailored to attract basic scientists, engineers, hardware professionals, translational researchers, applied scientists and clinicians with all levels of experience and expertise ranging from undergraduate and graduate students interested in imaging to trainees, advanced users and applications experts.

The ESCR 2024 programme includes many state-of-the-art educational sessions for experienced cardiovascular radiologists, but also for young (and not so young) radiologists just entering the field, and for radiographers who are a very important part of the cardiovascular imaging team. A special part of the programme will be dedicated to imaging pediatric and congenital heart disease, which is playing an increasingly important role in the management of these patients. We are again planning to strengthen our collaboration with the ESCR partner societies through joint sessions and to offer CT and MRI workshops for those who wish to improve their practical experience in using different software applications in their daily clinical routine. During scientific sessions, you will be able to share your latest research results in the form of oral or poster presentations and discuss them with your colleagues. The EBCR diploma exam will be offered to radiologists wishing to obtain Level 3 certification in cardiovascular radiology. During the meeting, you can meet world-renowned experts in cardiovascular radiology in a warm and friendly atmosphere and learn about the latest technological achievements at symposia organized by our industry partners.

Event Details
The live training course is organized to allow leaders who have long-time experience in the use of the specific RADS scoring system to give a 90 minute training course of definite and conflictual interactive cases. A total of 18 hours of interactive cases is planned through the whole course.
Since 1993, Reporting and Data Systems (RADS), firstly proposed by the American College of Radiology, have proliferated as a standardized methodology for reporting on imaging findings. Among others, RADS apply to findings in MRI and are meant to reduce the variability in diagnostic reports, to facilitate communication in radiology and to provide a framework for clinical decision and patient management.
Despite the effort that has been done, only few have been implemented into clinical practice while the most are not yet generally used or their impact have been underestimated without any documented evidence on efficacy and efficiency in the MRI workflow.
The implementation of RADS requires standard terminology, probability-based diagnostic approach, image assessment finalized to categorization, structured reporting.
In addition, the fast evolving world of MRI and its nature as a multiparametric modality require constant monitoring of RADS and eventually adaptations for accuracy improvement.
