Most of us will meet this year in Rotterdam. It is my pleasure to remind you of the benefits and great value of attending this Meeting.
We will have a very interesting and well structured scientific programme. As you will see from the introductory remarks by the Chairperson of the Scientific Programme Committee, Prof. Paul Parizel, the most interesting, newest and hottest topics related to the present and future of MR will be presented and will cover a multidisciplinary and efficient approach throughout scientific sessions and courses. There will be well-designed teaching courses of great educational value to colleagues who want to increase their knowledge in any field of our discipline. The Congress will provide an exciting platform for debates and exchange of information between scientists and clinicians working not only in Europe, but all over the world.
The Society is currently defining the tasks to be developed in order to increase its presence within the scientific and healthcare community, following the guidelines proposed by the Strategic Planning Committee and approved at our last Annual Business Meeting in Cannes. The next meeting in Rotterdam will allow members of our Society to participate in the construction of a more efficient and powerful multidisciplinary scientific society.
The President of the Local Organising Committee, Prof. Gabriel Krestin, will give us in his letter compelling reasons why Rotterdam will succeed as a venue of our meeting. Besides being a major seaport, Rotterdam is also a leading place in architecture and culture. This impressive, beautiful city has a great number of cultural and artistic attractions. There is so much to enjoy for all attendees who have some extra time to explore the city.
It is my honour to invite not only all members of our Society, but also the members of the scientific community and clinicians from health institutions with an interest in any field of MR to attend our upcoming meeting.
Looking forward to seeing you in Rotterdam!
