Learning objectives

•    To learn how to fuse CT or CBCT images with non-EPI diffusion MR images in patients with cholesteatoma
•    To learn how to fuse MRA/DRIVE-CISS-FIESTA/submillimetric enhanced T1 images in neurovascular conflicts
•    To learn how to use fusion/subtraction software to evaluate tumor growth, especially in acoustic schwannomas
•    To become familiar with the theoretical considerations of dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) and diffusion-weighted
      (DWI/IVIM) MRI
•    To learn acquisition techniques and clinical protocols for DCE- and DWI/IVIM-MRI
•    To learn and practice post-processing for DCE- and DWI/IVIM-MRI
•    To interpret the results and implement the techniques in a clinically meaningful way

Lectures (50% of the course)
•    Presentation of the software
•    Fusion – subtraction applications in head and neck pathologies
•    Theoretical models, clinical and research protocols of DCE- and DWI-MRI
•    Future endeavours in DCE and DWI/IVIM MRI
•    Morphologic and functional staging / surveillance of head and neck cancer
•    Pearls and pitfalls of DCE- and DWI-MRI
