HOT TOPIC DEBATE
Is arterial spin labeling (ASL) ready to replace contrast agent perfusion MRI (DSC-MRI) in the clinic?

Friday, October 7
18:00–19:00

The Hot Topic Debate should yield an answer to the question whether ASL is ready for routine clinical use in tissue perfusion imaging. Format of this debate consists of a brief introduction by the Moderator followed by 15 minutes presentations by Proponent and by Opponent, all three of them being top-rated scientists and/or clinicians with excellent communication abilities and with esprit. Attendees will then be given plenty of time to express personal opinions before they will be asked to provide a final vote – pro or contra. As has been repeatedly observed since its introduction at the Annual Meetings of the ESMRMB, the Hot Topic Debate provides a unique opportunity to gain deep insight into controversial aspects related to a “hot” topic – while having a lot of fun!

Moderator: M. van Osch, NL
Proponent: X. Golay, UK
Opponent: L. Ostergaard, DK
